CMS Annual Report

Dear Parents,

It gives me great pleasure to present before you an Annual report of the institution and recount some of the major achievements made by the school during the academic session 2023-24. Students are the strength of the school and it is their achievements which[ mark the excellence of teaching and learning that goes inside the four walls of the classroom and even beyond. It has been our humble endeavour as educationists to honour the wishes of the Founders of CMS, the Late Dr Jagdish Gandhi, and Dr (Mrs) Bharti Gandhi, whose physical presence and ever enduring smile is tonnes of inspiration for us. The school my parents started in 1959 with a mere strength of five students and a borrowed capital of Rs 300, has grown to mammoth proportions with over 62,000 students on roll today and is registered in the Guinness Book of World Records as the largest school in the world in a single city. It has been awarded the UNESCO prize for Peace Education 2002 rewarding our relentless strife towards the goal of One World, One Humanity.

CMS educational pattern is inspired by the ancient Indian ideal of Vasudhaiv Kutumbkam (the whole earth is but one family), and this philosophy of oneness is encapsulated in our motto “Jai Jagat” or Hail the World. Our teachers impart universal values to the students, empower them with global understanding and teach them to excel in all things and serve society selflessly.

Now I will recount the achievements of the school during the session 2023-24.
